Scatterday Week 16

Well, K was a bit tricky I thought! Out came the dictionary for a bit of inspiration.


For the category of Dangerous I chose KOMODO DRAGON. I took this photo a few years back when we were on holiday in Sydney, and had spent the day at Toronga Park Zoo. If I have my facts right, the most dangerous aspect of the Komodo Dragon is the masses of nasty bacteria in its mouth. So if the dragon bites something and the victim doesn't die of the bite, it's very likely to die of septicaemia a week later. Lovely.

For Blue I found a tiny little blue KENNEL in my mum's collection of miniatures. The design looks suspiciously like a little cottage with shingles and a painted window and fence, but as it came complete with a wee doggie I presume it must be a kennel, albeit a whimsical one.

And finally, the category of In My Neighbourhood. This is was a tough one and it has me puzzling for a few days. At first I was going to zoom down and photograph the local Kentucky Fried Chicken store, but then it struck me as I was driving through this roundabout a few streets from home. The local council have planted a beautiful display of KANGAROO PAWS in the centre of the roundabout. And as it's a bit hard to drive and take photos at the same time, I asked Steve to detour through it when we were going out, so I could snap it from the passenger seat. Why? he said - because it's a K photo of course!! He looked at me incredulously and is quite convinced I am insane. :-)

Next week we need to wrap our heads around the letter D, and the categories of Sewing, Vehicles and Touchy Feely. I hope the last category makes sense - what I mean is choose something you like the feel of.
