In Which I Learn About The Importance Of The Swatch

What do you think of this crocheted container? It appeals to me and I like the rustic colouring of the yarn. The only problem is that it wasn't meant to be a container.

Does this give you a clue?

Yep, it was meant to be a hat. Something went a bit massively haywire with my tension. That will teach me to be idle and not do a swatch. Ah well, at least it's a nice container. :-)

oh I don't know, I think it has a bit of a couture look about it?

*Giggle!* Oh, dear; I can really relate to this.

However, I'm pretty sure I have seen containers much like this at Cost Plus World Market and various art galleries. They want a bundle for them. Perhaps you could come up with some mythology about your particular tribal customs and use these, er, crocheted baskets to pad out the rainy day fund? Weave some feathers and beads in if you want to double the price.

It really is beautifully made, nice even stitches and all.
