Merry Christmas

It's been a flurry of pre-Xmas activity this week, but at last it's calming down to an enjoyable few last-minute tasks. Presents are wrapped - well, except for the last couple that for some reason I felt I should go and buy yesterday. Christmas crackers are made as you can see in the photo above. I left it a bit late to decide to make those so I couldn't find any of those long thingies that make the crack noise. Never mind, we'll just have to say "bang" as we pull them. :-)

The layered ice cream dessert has been made, these are some of the goodies that are now included in it. It has ended up ENORMOUS, so I hope it's good! All the food has been bought and we're going to cook the turkey today and serve it as sliced meat tomorrow. It's going to be hot tomorrow 33 degrees C (about 92F) so the less cooking the better. I think we have enough food in our house to survive for a month!

I've been playing with moving lights photos. You move your camera around very quickly whilst snapping a shot of your xmas tree lights and you get these interesting results. I used delayed flash for these, but you can do without any flash and it will be on a black background. What I can't fathom is how a lot of the tree itself has stayed in focus when I was a'shakin that camera all over the place. Anyway, another small amusement. :-)

Merry Christmas to everyone that pops in and reads my Blog. I didn't understand the pleasure that comments on a Blog can bring until I started my own, I have really enjoyed and appreciated the way other people have shared themselves - thank you one and all!

Peace and Joy. xx

Hey, Merry Christmas! I hope you had a good one! (I did, thankfully, so much more peaceful then the last few years...) I'm going off tomorrow to celebrate New Years with some friends, which will be fantastic, especially compared to the miserable time I had last year - so I hope you'll have a nice start into 2007 as well. :)

Merry Christmas Dy, I noticed the tree staying in focus and wondered too, well done.
