Scatterday Week 24
This week it was a free-for-all on that tricky letter Z
When my son was an Army Cadet, he collected all sorts of boy-fend-for-yourself-outdoors things such as rope ladders, water purifying tablets, waterproof matches and ration packs. And for some reason they had a fixation on Zippo lighters. I think Zippo was some sort of world-wide phenomenon, can't see the joy myself! Anyway, I found the long forgotten and not-working lighter in Paul's room and decided that the joy was that I could use the ZIPPO LIGHTER for Scatterday!! :-)
To show that I occasionally do sewing type things, here are some of my collection of ZIPS. I think it's Murphy's Law that no matter how many zips you have and in all different lengths, you never have the one you need. My husband has the same trouble with drill bits!
As I'm totally focussed on nutritional food with the official Trying To Shed Some Kilos (and going along ok this week), I was humming away this morning chopping up fruit for a fruit salad, when I realised that the ZEST I like to add to the salad was another perfect candidate. Do you like my zest writing? I had to concentrate to zest big long strips off the orange to make good writing, before it got chopped up for the salad.
Next week the letter is an I, and the categories are Yellow, Something Australian, and Something You Would Find In The Air. Sounds like we're in for an interesting week!

Very innovative - I'm especially impressed with the zest writing! Did you know that Zippo will repair your son's lighter for free? Every Zippo lighter has a lifetime guarantee - you need only send it in to their repair center, and they'll put it back in working order at no cost to you.
I had all sorts of ideas of what to do with Zest myself but I would never have thought to have written it so beautifully! Zippo... never came up with that one!
Why is it that every Saturday morning I cringe with I see the next weeks letter and Categories?? then a couple of days later I'm really into it!! :-)
Kerry, I didn't know that about Zippo. Mind you, it's possible that all that's wrong with it is lack of juice!
Pennie, I know what you mean about the cringing. A bit of pondering over the days does the trick eh
Well done Dysie. I love your zest.
Nice layout again Dy. Your zest is very artistic and see it is handy having your kids and their junk around the house.
Boy are you good on the zest cutting....were you an entrant in the minties wrapper tearing contest as a child?
I love your layout, as well as your selections. The zest is extremely clever!
Very Clever with the Zest!
